Veterans Preventing Misinformation and Violence

A partnership between

&

Establishing an innovative prevention ecosystem in the veteran and military family community for targeted violence, terrorism and misinformation, while promoting patriotic civic engagement to safeguard our democracy.

Service is about upholding the principles of American values enshrined in our constitution and guaranteed through the sacrifices of veterans and their families. Our way of life is threatened when the same distortions used by some of America’s adversaries on foreign populations are used right here at home. At the extremes, those distortions are used to justify acts of violence and disrupt the things we have fought so hard for during our centuries of existence as a nation. We the Veterans convenes thought leaders, practitioners, and key stakeholders from the veteran and military family communities to serve as trusted voices in addressing these threats to our society.

There is an opportunity to increase positive patriotic engagement and capacity of the citizenry at large while bolstering societal resistance to misinformation by enhancing the civic competencies of our military, veteran, and military family community.
